4 Simple Steps To Maintain Your AC Unit

  1. Make sure the temperature setting on the thermostat is set to a setting that is lower than the temperature in the room.
  2. Check your air filter. A dirty air filter could restrict air flow causing the unit to freeze up or not cool properly.
  3. Check to see if the unit has iced up. An evaporator coil that is frozen will restrict air flow causing unit not to function properly. Put fan setting on the t-stat to the ON position, this will help de-ice the evaporator coil so when the technician arrives the system can be diagnosed.
  4. Check all electrical breakers to see if they have been tripped. Reset breakers and see if the unit will restart.
